Housed in a 1920's Mission-style adobe structure, the museum maintains rose, Japanese, and desert gardens with exhibits from Native American artifacts, household items from Coachella Valley's pioneer families, work by local artists, and Southern Pacific Railroad memorabilia from Indio. Also, Indio's Historic 1909 Schoolhouse fully restored.
